Terms of Use

Welcome to the Rangemaster Tracking System ("RTS," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Armed Profession Consulting, LLC. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our public website located at rangemastertracking.com and the cloud-based Rangemaster Tracking System software platform (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing our website, requesting a live demo, or subscribing to and using the RTS platform, you ("Customer," "Agency," or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a law enforcement agency, government entity, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

RTS provides a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform specifically designed for law enforcement agencies to manage firearms programs, officer qualifications, training logs, equipment maintenance, ammunition and parts inventory, and administrative audit trails.

2. Account Registration & User Roles

Account Creation: To access the RTS application, subscribing agencies must establish an administrator account and designate authorized users (such as Rangemasters, instructors, or staff).

Credential Security: Authorized users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach regarding your account.

Accuracy of Information: Agencies agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account information during onboarding and maintain its accuracy over time.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service strictly for lawful, official law enforcement or agency administrative purposes. You agree not to:

  • License, sell, lease, transfer, or commercially exploit the RTS platform to unauthorized third parties.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying architecture of the software.
  • Use the Service to upload or store malicious code, viruses, trojans, or harmful software.
  • Attempt to bypass, compromise, or test the security mechanisms, access controls, or rate limits of the platform.
  • Input false, fraudulent, or intentionally misleading official records or data into the system.

4. Customer Data & Intellectual Property

A. Customer Data Ownership

The subscribing agency retains sole ownership, title, and all intellectual property rights to all officer records, firearm logs, qualifications, training files, and inventory records uploaded or entered into RTS ("Customer Data"). RTS does not claim ownership over any Customer Data.

B. RTS Intellectual Property

RTS, its software design, interface, branding, logos, graphics, and underlying proprietary code are the exclusive property of Armed Profession Consulting, LLC and its licensors. Except for the limited license granted under an active subscription, no rights or licenses are granted to you by implication or otherwise.

C. Feedback

If you provide feedback, feature suggestions, or recommendations regarding the Service, RTS may use such input without obligation or compensation to you.

5. System Auditing & Data Integrity

To maintain transparency and accountability required for official agency recordkeeping:

Audit Logging: The Service automatically generates immutable or visible system logs tracking key user actions (e.g., additions, edits, archives, and deletions).

System Integrity: Users acknowledge that system activity logs are designed to provide audit capability for agency administrators and overseers.

6. Service Availability & Maintenance

Uptime Objective: We strive to maintain high system availability and uptime for the RTS platform.

Maintenance Windows: Scheduled maintenance, system updates, or emergency repairs may occasionally result in temporary service interruptions. We endeavor to schedule maintenance during off-peak hours and provide advance notice when feasible.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for service delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including internet service provider outages, power grid failures, denial-of-service attacks, or natural disasters.

7. Subscription, Fees, and Payments

Pricing: Access to the RTS web application requires an active paid subscription based on published pricing or an executed agency agreement.

Billing Terms: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring schedule (e.g., annual or monthly) as specified during account activation.

Non-Payment: Failure to pay subscription fees may result in suspension or termination of agency access to the web application.

8. Data Retention & Account Termination

Termination by Agency: An agency may cancel its subscription in accordance with the terms of its service agreement or by contacting RTS support.

Termination by RTS: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if an agency or user materially breaches these Terms or engages in unauthorized or illegal activity on the platform.

Data Export: Upon cancellation or termination of a subscription, RTS will provide reasonable mechanisms for the agency to export its Customer Data before account closure, in accordance with applicable retention schedules and service agreements.
